New Camera!!

A few week's ago, I decide it was time for a new camera. Now it's not those fancy schmancy Camera's like my sisters have, the Digital SLR. I wish I had the money for one of those. I decided to fool around with the macro setting on my camera. That's probably my favorite setting on my camera. I just love how up close shots look. I hope to have plenty more photo's to come. for now wnjoy theses few.

Spend a day with me Swap

Hello Fellow Swappers!!! I decided to put this swap in my Blog. It wasn't the most eventful day, but it was a busy day none the less.

9:30

I made a trip to one of my local Starbucks coffee shops. I have been craving their Pumpkin spice latte for a few days now. I went 2 days in a row for it and both days they were out of their pumpkin Spice mix. So I settled For Peppermint white Chocolate Mocha and a slice of their Holiday Gingerbread. Boy is it Yummy!! it has slivers of crystallized ginger through out it as well as on top.

Got home with my yummy Starbucks. I settled in turned up the heat in the house because I was freezing and drank my coffee. for the next hour I just lazed around and enjoyed my day off from work by catching up on my tivo recordings.

Time to re-touch up my roots. I have been meaning to do this for over a month. I probably had an inch and a half of my natural color showing. ick!!! and being a hair stylist I really needed to recolor and get the roots gone. Yes I'm using a box dye. I know I shouldn't as a stylist, but old habits die hard. I've been using this color for a year and a half.

apparently my glove had a hole in it. I spent probably a good 20 min soaking my finger in color remover and trying to scrub it off but it is still stained.

I just finished putting the color in. now I sit and wait to wash it out. didn't think you would want to see the inside of my shower so I didn't take a picture of that. I ended up playing bejeweled to pass the time. with out my glasses on I can't really do much cause I can't see very well. So the computer was the easiest and only thing I could see. lol

1 pm: I cleaned out my car but I didn't take a picture cause I highly doubt you wanted to see what it looked like. I live in my car practically. I'm always driving places and am always on the go so I carry a lot with me.

Lunch was a little late. I ordered it at 2 while I was trying to get all the pieces out to set up the Christmas Village. But it was so Yummy(seems to be my favorite word today). They call this Pizza "Grandma's Pizza" I'm not so sure why. It has chunks of garlic and chunky sauce and a little bit of cheese. the crust was nice and fluffy as well.

3:30

Finally I got the village up. I had a few minor mishaps. Started opening the box upside down and a few pieces fell out. 2 of the people fell out broke at the feet. so now I need to glue them back together. Overall I think the Village came out looking very nice.

4 pm

I decided to sit down and read my book. I love this series. It is classified as young adult, but I find them intriguing. more action in them then the twilight series. Once I finish I can start on the next book which I had to go pick up at the Library.

6 pm

Went to the Library to pick up the items that came in for me. The 4th book in the series I'm reading came in so now I really need to hurry up and read Shadow Kiss. I can't wait to watch The Soloist. it looks like such a good movie.

The rest of my night was spent reading and doing a lil more catch up on tivo. before I decided to head up to bed around 10:30. I was supposed to go out christmas shopping with a friend of mine but those plans were canceled on her part. oh well Maybe today the shopping will get done.

Venting

It kinda ticks me off that I only ever have 1 person really who comments on my blogs (Thank you Nate). Especially when I can see that certain people I know visited my blog just by the city that appears in my counter on the side. I put effort into my blogs and enjoy seeing comments but I never have any. It would be nice to know sometimes that my family does read my blog and actually enjoyed my post.

I love my friends. My friend Nate who I've known since we were babies, gave me this award on his blog. I've never gotten an award for a blog, and its understandable that I haven't cause I hardly blog. But this award is special cause it's about friends. I want to thank you Nate for giving me this award.

So here it goes. 5 things I love to do.

1) Makeup: I love putting makeup on and doing it all fun and fancy. I also love doing other people's makeup. I'd rather do makeup than hair.

2) Music: I love everything about music. I love to sing, play music, dance, go to concerts. Every time I attend a concert an indescribable feeling comes over me. It's kinda like a feeling of warmth, joy, excitement. I can't quite find the right words to describe it.

3) Photography: I love taking pictures. it's a hobby of mine. I wish I had a SLr camera. that would fuel my love of photography even more.

4) Spending time with Rob: I love him. every minute we spend together is precious to me. I never thought I would find someone who loves me and accept all my flaws and medical issues. he truly cares for me and loves me. even if we do nothing and just stay in and watch a movie, I'm perfectly fine with it cause I just love spending quality and precious time with him.

5) Sleeping in: any chance I get I love to sleep in. I just love sleeping late into the day. if only the sun didn't shine directly in my room in the morning and lightn it completely up.

Now if only I could come up with people to give this award to. I don't know many people who actually blog.

Halloween a month late

I never got around to posting when I said I would. I can't believe how busy I have been. So busy that I only uploaded my Halloween pics a few days ago. Go figure.Rob and I went to Craig's House for his Halloween party. It was a chilly night. NO I did not go around all night in just my costume. I wore a coat most of the night cause it was around 35 degrees out that night.

Of Course I had to post my favorite pic of me and Rob. or should I say Waldo. His costume was a hit not only at the party but also at both of his jobs. People kept on shouting. I found Waldo!!

Shows at Renn Faire

So we only saw a few shows at the Renaissance Fair. First we went to the Mudd Brothers. That pretty much is a glorified mud wrestling show. lol. then we went to The Royal Chess Match. All the Royals Come out for that. It was pretty cool. After The chess match we went to the Dextre Tripp Show. He does fire juggling, knife juggling, He even juggled a chain saw that was on along with an apple and a bowling ball at one time. He used a lot of audience members in he stunts. He had one girl hold a pretzel in her mouth while he was juggling knives and then proceeded to cut the pretzel in half with a flying knife. it was pretty intense.

This was a balance trick that the 2 Stupid Guys(yes that's the name of the act) did before the chess match to hype the crowd. Once again, audience participation.

This was the start of the chess match. It wasn't your typical chess match. Pretty much it would be dictated who would fight who and then you would see a sword fight, ax fight etc.

I couldn't help myself. I had to take a picture of this adorable baby. and look at the drool. He's too cute:

Claddagh Ring

This is the ring rob bought me. Incase you don't know or can't remember what the Claddagh stands for, here is a reminder courtesy of Wikipedia :

The Claddagh's distinctive design features two hands clasping a heart, and usually surmounted by a crown. The elements of this symbol are often said to correspond to the qualities of love (the heart), friendship (the hands), and loyalty (the crown). The expression which was associated with these symbols in the giving of the ring was: "With my two hands I give you my heart, and crown it with my love." Yet, the expression, "Let love and friendship reign forever" can be found as another meaning for the symbols.
The way that a Claddagh ring is worn on the hand is usually intended to convey the wearer's romantic availability, or lack thereof. The ring is worn on the right hand with the heart facing outward to show that the wearer is not romantically linked but is looking for love. When turned inwards, it is shown that the wearer is in a relationship, or their heart has been "captured". Noting that the heart is pointing down the hand and into the veins which lead to the wearer's heart. The ring worn on the left hand with the heart facing outward shows the wearer is engaged; turned inward indicates the wearer is married.[1]

NY Renaissance Faire( a lot of Pictures)

Yesterday, Rob, Me Dee, Jaime, and Rev went to the NY Renaissance Faire. Believe it or not I have never gone to it before and it has been going on for YEARS. Their was a ton to see and plenty of shops to go into. We left around 8 30 am and got their just as the gates were opening up at 10. We walked around all day until the gates closed at 7. That was a lot of walking. I was so exhausted by the end of the night. It was fun seeing all the different costumes people wore to the Faire. Shopping was fun. I didn't get much but that's not a big deal. We were looking at Jewelry and we came across some claddagh rings. I saw one in a case that looked pretty on top, and seemed to look like it would fit my finger. I asked the girl if I could see it, and she was telling me that this was the last one of this design. It was antique design and, the band has filigree all over it. Rob knew I wanted one, so when the girl took it out and I tried it on, he asked me if that's the one I love and wanted, I said yes it was, and he bought it for me. I was not expecting that. later in the day I bought a necklace that is hand blown glass with Perfume in it. you got to choose whichever perfume you wanted and she would pour it in the necklace of your choice. I went with Victorian Garden which has a rose scent.

On our way to the flush Privies(actual bathrooms and not port a potties), we came across the Kissing Bridge. It is custom that you kiss when passing under the arch. We felt that Dee needed a kiss since she didn't have any one to give her one, so Jaime and myself took it upon us to give her a kiss on the cheek. (Mom close your eyes for the next pic. lol)

Rob and I actually crossed first before we ran back and gave Dee a kiss. HE-HE.

These pictures were actually taken towards the end of the night just as we were heading out teh gate. I find them funny. You could change what it said above your head. My favorite is teh insufferable diva one.

Ahhh first thing in the morning. I know my pictures are out of chronological order, but oh well.

I'm gonna post more pictures later of the Events we went to during the day.

Camping

I went camping this past weekend with Rob. what an experience for me. I haven't been camping in years. The last time I went was on the annual niece camping trip with Aunt Deb and Uncle Ron. That wasn't a fun trip so it left a sour taste in my mouth for camping. But I actually had fun this time.

We set up the tent and got eaten alive by mosquito's so we decided to make a trip to the gas station real quick to pick up something to eat and some bug spray. we tended the fire most of the night because most of the wood was damp and wouldn't stay lit by itself very long. We did manage to get a good fire though.

As we were falling asleep I heard a few branches snap and it freaked me out. So he got out of the tent with the flashlight and looked around to put my mind at ease. At some point in the night I heard a coyote howl a few times, but it wasn't too close so it didn't bother me.

went in for my final exam that I had to take at school today. it was a mock state board exam. we usually do the entire state board practical as out final exam for school. I passed! got a 92. I was a nervous wreck. thought I wasn't going to finish the haircut in time and my pic curls were teh worst they ever were. but I still managed to pull a 92. now I can sit back and relax... well not really picked up a ton of extra hours at work this week.

well it's official!! I have finished cosmetology school. now i sit and wait to hear on the jobs that i applied for. I hate waiting. and to be honest. I have no clue what to do with myself with all this free time. it is just weird to have time off like this during the week. But I'm keeping busy chasing Olivia around the living room and playing with her.

I got picked for to help out at the locks of love tent that Capri had at k104's k fest. Surprisingly we had more people come to the tent that I thought we were going to get. we had at least 25 women cut off their hair. we also did men's hair cuts for a $5 donation.

So it's been a while. seemed to have gotten busier lately than I ever thought I was gonna be. School and work and My new boyfriend seem to take up most of my time and I have found hardly any time to blog.

Had my 21st birthday!! Went to Mahoney's and had a ton of mine and robs friends from kickball show up.

Beth Laura and Kayla. I had no clue Kayla was coming. I haven't seen her since High school.
Dancing with Rob during the 1 song I wanted to hear. Just a girl by No DoubtDrunk enough to finally dance on a not so crowded dance floor. I hate dancing when their aren't a lot of people dancing.

finally the holiday's are over!!! well kinda. we still have the Christmas tree up and a few presents lingering, and I still have to give one more gift to some one. then they are officially over.

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. it just seems like I never have time to post a blog recently.

Schools going great!!! Were finally onto cutting hair. We started that this week. Well officially today. We did 2 hair cuts of the same nature(one length) the we had to blow dry both and boy are my arms tired. Holding a hairdryer up for about 20 can get tiring. plus I went over to Charlies last night with a bunch of friends and played his Wii.
that's a workout in itself for your arms. Needless to say I don't want to lift my arms right now.MMM Pizza!!! I didn't want my face in a pic at that moment so I put my plate in front of it.

Attacking Charlie!!!! We happen to like picking on charlie. He doesn't mind.

A water fight broke out in the house. George finally got the gun away from Charlie and was trying to empty it before he came into the room. He was unsuccessful.

Yeah so I have no clue why this pic was taken or when it happened. I don't remember it. I just thought it was Funny.

Ahh well that's all I have for now. I need to take some pictures of a few things and then I'll have some more to post.

On the Radio

The other day at school Jackie, one of the admissions directors was asking for volunteers to hand out hair products at a concert going on at the chance on Monday night. So I volunteered. later I found out that not only will I be getting in to the concert for free and handing out products, I will also be on the radio Monday morning helping to promote Capri. I will be going their along with a few of my friends for school. So Monday at 9 am will be on the radio

In other news Bettie Page Died last night. So sad :( She was 85 and died of a heart attack. Just thought I'd share.

I've been meaning to write a blog for quite some time. I'm sure I have a ton to write but not sure if i have time to write it all. It's been crazy lately. I started cosmetology school this past week. I love it. I've learned how to set a head in rollers(3 different ways), how to curl with a curling iron(the 2 proper ways), how to blow dry hair properly(the way I'll be tested by the state board) and a few other ways with the round nylon brush, the demen brush, the natural bristle brush, and the vent brush, all the different way to do pin curls, finger waves, and shampooing. Fridays are the most fun cause we have a different teacher. like her a lot. after all of our work is finished on fridays we can go get things done by other students. a number of people had their har cut. I had my bangs trimmed. I'm really enjoying school. it goes by real quick cause were constantly doing things. this is what I did in school the other day.

Sad News.Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs.Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours..Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions. Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children:John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven.He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.If this made you smile for even a brief second, please rise to the occasion and take time to pass it on and share that smile with someone else who may be having a crumby day and kneads a lift.

Masquerade Party

Last Night was Nate's 20th Birthday Masquerade Party. It was fun. I spent most of the night getting ready and doing my makeup and Adrienne's makeup. There were a lot of people their some that i knew and others i didn't. None the less it was fun. Loud music, Entertaining dancing. lol and a visit from the police cause of loud noise and to also tell us that some people had to move cars cause it was a fire hazard. they wouldn't be able to get a fire truck down the street if they had to apparently. I got home about 2 am made a few crash and bangs cause I couldn't see in the dark. lol.

I was looking up Johnny Depp on IMDB.com to see if he had any movies coming out in the near future. To my Suprise the will be playing the Mad Hatter in Tim Burtons Version of Alice in Wonderland!!!! I cannot wait. I have this mild obsession with alice in wonderland. It's too bad that the movie won't be out in theaters til 2010. Oh well. til then I will be waiting in anticipation.

OMG can you believe it I actually did a craft!!!! I don't think I've done a craft just because in years. I made a home made journal. I really enjoyed making the journal. this is going to be used in a swap I'm doing. I'll be sending it to Zurich, Switzerland. I'll also be receiving a journal from Switzerland. Now all have to do is fill out the journal with the story of my character. good thing I have til the end of novemver to send it out.Woops it's upside down. lol

I hand bound it and everything. It only took me 2 hours to make the entire journal.

This was a trial run for making journal.s I think I made the binding a little large for the amount of pages in my journal.

I joined another mix cd swap. these are becoming my favorite swaps. I quite enjoy making mixes for other people. This Swap had to do with music from movies. their was more candy, but it's been almost eaten. I have a few reeses still in the freezer, and I gave Beth a packet of raisinets. Their was also a handful of candy corn and candy pumpkins in the bottom of the bag.

On September 29, 2008 at 7:04 pm Olivia Gabrielle Willson was born. She weighs 7lb and is 21.5 inches long. She is such an adorable little one and loves to be sang to. I can't wait til she comes home on Thursday.

So everyone is doing swaps, and I joined right in. I joined the Swap bot site today, and began right away searching for a swap. I found this one... http://http//www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/20236 it's called mix cd scavenger hunt with a twist. right up my alley. I signed up and got right to work. believe it or not, mine is already finished. I just have to wait to find out who I'm assigned to, then I'll make the cd and send it out right away. We get 2 swap partners, so I'll be sending out 2 cd's.

so I'm thinking of switching up my blog a bit. I don't want to bore you guys with itty bitty boring bits of my life. So I was thinking of making this half personal blog half photography blog. Photography has been a passion of mine for a while, and this will help me improve my photo skills more. It's only too bad that I don't have an old camera and a photo studio to do actual developing. I miss develpoing photo's. there's something about being in a dark room that I just love. I personally find my blog boring, so if it's boring me it must be boring others as well.

So here are a few photos I've taken on my new phone. I'm actually quite satisfied with the quality. my last phone was quite crappy when it came to photo quality.

ok so I wasn't planning on getting a new phone for a while, but sometimes unnexpected things happen. Like all of a sudden your screen stops working and goes all haywire and you can't get your messages or see whos calling or what not. I was on my lunch break yesterday and I was talking to charlie. After I hung up the phone with him, I went to go text someone and my screen started scrambling and it wouldn't go back at all. I dropped it 1 too many times, and the last time on friday when I dropped it was the last straw apparently. So I had Beth take me to the verizon store after work to get a new one. I LOVE my new phone. it's the Verizon Voyager and it's a touch screen. has a pretty great camera as well.

Ergh!!!!!

I've been pretty sick since mom and dad left. came down with a pretty bad cold Friday and it just keeps getting worse.

it's partly because of me staying out to the wee hours of the night and not getting much sleep so my immune system is down and it's also partly cause somehow my air conditioner was on 65 one night and I didn't realize it and slept with my door closed in a tiny room.

thinking about going to bed in a minute. Tay and I are off to the mall in the morning and then I have an appointment at Capri to fill out my financial aid so I can get enrolled very soon. I hope to be starting cosmetology school by october. November at the latest.

wow. I've had a busy week. I don't think I've really been home to relax. too much going to starbucks with Brian, Tay, Jon and Marissa late at night. HAHAHA we go their so much that some of them know our names. of and to the movies as well and then to starbucks again. lol. or maybe the diner.

Ok so I have to thank Leslie forgetting me hooked on this show last year. I've been hooked all season. I just wanted to post a few of my favorite routines.

My newest obsession is the song that was in last weeks Jazz routine with Courtney and Mark.

I have a ton more favorites. but I'm not going to post them. this season was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I have to say I was sad to see Mark and Chelsea go home last week. I would rather see chelsea in tonights finale than Courtney. Although I love Marks quirkiness, I'm happy to see Twitch and Joshua in the finale. I loved all 3 guys and couldn't really choose who I wanted to see in the finale.

I might have something interesting to post at the end of the week ;) I didn't have my camera this past weekend, so I couldn't take any pics. Beth had it while she was in NYC.

I went and saw Dark Knight at the midnight showing on Thursday or should I saw early Friday morning with Jon. It was AMAZING!!!!! Heath Ledger did a great job. Friday night Jon and I took our guitars down to the pier and played around for a bit. I put some decoy money in the case. Jon ended up making $2 since he was the one playing at the time. After I had a freak out cause a spider crawled across my foot, we headed over to memorial park. after we played there for about an hour. we met Brian at Starbucks. Ended up hanging there for 2 hours. Brian is an amazing guitarist. I let him play my guitar. I wasn't in the mood to play anymore at that point. I hope we didn't annoy anyone. oh well. no one complained to management to tell us to stop. ran into a few old friends from High School. it was interesting talking to them.

so that's whats going on with me. I'll post more later. I have to get off to work.

New Addition

So I have a lovely new addition to my body. I LOVE it!!! It was done by Keavan Rivers at Zahra's Tattoo studio here in Beacon. The muscles in my neck are so sore right now. you don't realize how little fat you have on your back until you get a tattoo there. I found out after I had it done, that the area I got it is one of the more painful places to get done cause of the nerve concentration in that area. it didn't bother me too much. it was quite tolerable. I only visually expressed the pain on my face every once in a while when he hit a real tender spot. Every time he went over one area I could feel it by my elbow. and the fact that my lower back started tensing cause of the position I was in, that kept my focus from the pain somewhere else and not on my neck. The top pic is with out flash and the one below here is with. you can see the colors better with the flash. it's shiny cause I have A&D ointment on it. only a few more days before the dead layer of skin starts peeling off and scabbing. once that's finished I'll have a beautifully healed and lovely tattoo. Once it's healed I have to go back for them to take a pic. They couldn't get a good one yesterday since it was shiny.

So I bet you were wondering when I was going to post again... It's been a crazy week at work and I haven't had much time to devote to blogging. I managed to take a few pics on my phone this weekend. My actual camera doesn't have any batteries in it so this was a last resort since I don't really like the camera on my phone.

I attended Graduation this weekend at Beacon High. Boy was it hot out!!! Jon yelled at me for wearing all black to it. But in my defense, that was all I had left in my wardrobe were the 2 items I wore. I was in serious need of doing laundry.

Sunday I attended a grad party for my friends Cheyenne and Kristy. I had photo with Cheyenne and Drama with Kristy when I was in school.

Here's Cheyenne. ^ were all standing around watching people swing at the pinata.

Hey look who it is KATIE(^in the brown)!!!! her and her BF flew out from Lakewood, WA to see graduation and to attend the parties. Kristy is tying the Bandana on Cheyennes head. It was real funny to watch some of the people swing and completely miss the sun. this on kid kept hitting branches. another swung and hit the rope and knocked the sun off the rope. yet it still didn't break when it hit the ground. Watch out for Cheyenne she's dangerous when she swings!!! she almost hit a few people who were standing behind the fence.

So that was my weekend.

How to tell when you need a vacation

I've been thinking a lot about vacation and how much I need one. I came up with a list of indicators that help you decide if you need a vacation.

Do you automatically groan when you walk in to work?
Are you tired of dealing with the same people day in and day out?
Does your energy seem to automatically drain upon walking into work?
Upon arriving back at work after your day off, do you feel like your next day off doesn't come soon enough?
Do you feel like you have too much on your plate in general?
Does the thought of being somewhere remote where no one can get ahold of you sound oh so very appealing?

If you answered yes to any of the above you NEED a vacation!!!!!

Clarification

I just wanted to clarify somthing I don't think I was clear on in the last blog to any of you who think mom and dad paid for the entire guitar, you have it wrong. I paid for some of it, and I also received money from other people as well as mom and dad, as gifts that I put towards the purchase of it. it was a joint gift from plenty of people including myself. In no way do I mooch off of them I would never have them pay for the entire guitar. I think I have the right to express myself. I'm just trying to get across and clarify what might have been foggy in the other post. I for one hardly buy anything any more besides gas for my car and pay my bills. that takes up pretty much my entire pay check these days. so the help form everyone to achieve what I've been trying to for 6 months was great. I probablly wouldn't have been able to if it wasn't for my birthday. mom and dads gift was just a little bit of help for the purchase. not the purchase of the entire guitar. They were just being nice as it WAS my birthday and they were helping me advance in my music by enabling me to buy a guitar that isn't a piece of crap like the one I was using. once again they did NOT buy the entire guitar.

My Baby

No I don't have a boyfriend, my baby is my guitar. My lovely Ibanez Talman she is officially 1 week old. lol. Thanks to mom and dad for that lovely gift of cash for my birthday last week I was able to finally buy a new guitar. I've been trying to buy one for 6 months.

Kicked to the curb

So... mom kicked me out of her blog and told me to get my own. so here it is. hope you enjoy. I'll start adding more posts soon. I need to get some pics taken and what not to add to here. If you haven't guessed by now, the title is an homage to Alice in wonderland. I love that story.
