On the Radio

The other day at school Jackie, one of the admissions directors was asking for volunteers to hand out hair products at a concert going on at the chance on Monday night. So I volunteered. later I found out that not only will I be getting in to the concert for free and handing out products, I will also be on the radio Monday morning helping to promote Capri. I will be going their along with a few of my friends for school. So Monday at 9 am will be on the radio


In other news Bettie Page Died last night. So sad :( She was 85 and died of a heart attack. Just thought I'd share.

So it's been a while...

I've been meaning to write a blog for quite some time. I'm sure I have a ton to write but not sure if i have time to write it all. It's been crazy lately. I started cosmetology school this past week. I love it. I've learned how to set a head in rollers(3 different ways), how to curl with a curling iron(the 2 proper ways), how to blow dry hair properly(the way I'll be tested by the state board) and a few other ways with the round nylon brush, the demen brush, the natural bristle brush, and the vent brush, all the different way to do pin curls, finger waves, and shampooing. Fridays are the most fun cause we have a different teacher. like her a lot. after all of our work is finished on fridays we can go get things done by other students. a number of people had their har cut. I had my bangs trimmed. I'm really enjoying school. it goes by real quick cause were constantly doing things. this is what I did in school the other day.

Sad news!!!

Sad News.Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs.Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours..Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions. Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children:John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven.He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.If this made you smile for even a brief second, please rise to the occasion and take time to pass it on and share that smile with someone else who may be having a crumby day and kneads a lift.

Masquerade Party

Last Night was Nate's 20th Birthday Masquerade Party. It was fun. I spent most of the night getting ready and doing my makeup and Adrienne's makeup. There were a lot of people their some that i knew and others i didn't. None the less it was fun. Loud music, Entertaining dancing. lol and a visit from the police cause of loud noise and to also tell us that some people had to move cars cause it was a fire hazard. they wouldn't be able to get a fire truck down the street if they had to apparently. I got home about 2 am made a few crash and bangs cause I couldn't see in the dark. lol.

So I am a little late blogging this from when I was tagged. this is my 6th picture in my sixth folder. It's and old illustration from Alice in Wonderland. It's of the queen of hearts in "OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!!!" HAHA I love how this is my 2nd alice in wonderland post in a row. So who do I tag??? I guess mom. In honor of the title of my blog

I was looking up Johnny Depp on IMDB.com to see if he had any movies coming out in the near future. To my Suprise the will be playing the Mad Hatter in Tim Burtons Version of Alice in Wonderland!!!! I cannot wait. I have this mild obsession with alice in wonderland. It's too bad that the movie won't be out in theaters til 2010. Oh well. til then I will be waiting in anticipation.

TV Reviews

I got Crafty!!!!!

OMG can you believe it I actually did a craft!!!! I don't think I've done a craft just because in years. I made a home made journal. I really enjoyed making the journal. this is going to be used in a swap I'm doing. I'll be sending it to Zurich, Switzerland. I'll also be receiving a journal from Switzerland. Now all have to do is fill out the journal with the story of my character. good thing I have til the end of novemver to send it out.Woops it's upside down. lol

I hand bound it and everything. It only took me 2 hours to make the entire journal.

This was a trial run for making journal.s I think I made the binding a little large for the amount of pages in my journal.

Movie Magic Mix

I joined another mix cd swap. these are becoming my favorite swaps. I quite enjoy making mixes for other people. This Swap had to do with music from movies. Like when you hear a certain song, you automatically think of the movie it is from. click on the picture to make it bigger so you can see what songs my swap partner included on the cd. It came all the way from MAnitoba Canada.

Another swap I joined was about favorite pictures. Being that I love photography, I couldn't say no to this one. I'm really liking the international swaps. although it may be sometime pricey. But I don't mind. Here's that I received:

Halloween trick or treat swap

I have a lot of updating to do. It seems like forever ago that I blogged.

I joined this swap where I send someone a trick or treat bag. I forgot to take pics of what I sent, but here is what I received all the way from colorado.
their was more candy, but it's been almost eaten. I have a few reeses still in the freezer, and I gave Beth a packet of raisinets. Their was also a handful of candy corn and candy pumpkins in the bottom of the bag.

On September 29, 2008 at 7:04 pm Olivia Gabrielle Willson was born. She weighs 7lb and is 21.5 inches long. She is such an adorable little one and loves to be sang to. I can't wait til she comes home on Thursday.

Mix CD Scavenger Hunt With A Twist

WOW!! I haven't blogged in a while. Sorry for that. I've been too lazy to take pictures lately and so I haven't blogged. I have some catching up to do.

Back at the beginning of September I joined Swap-Bot.com. I love it. It's so nice to receive actual mail. This is what I received for the music scavenger hunt.

I Love the mixes. one is more my taste than the other. but they both have great songs on them.

I have another swap to post... but I need to find it first. not too sure where I put it, but once I do, I'll post it.

And I have more to come but they don't get sent til the middle of October.

Swap

So everyone is doing swaps, and I joined right in. I joined the Swap bot site today, and began right away searching for a swap. I found this one... http://http//www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/20236 it's called mix cd scavenger hunt with a twist. right up my alley. I signed up and got right to work. believe it or not, mine is already finished. I just have to wait to find out who I'm assigned to, then I'll make the cd and send it out right away. We get 2 swap partners, so I'll be sending out 2 cd's.

change is definitely in the air

so I'm thinking of switching up my blog a bit. I don't want to bore you guys with itty bitty boring bits of my life. So I was thinking of making this half personal blog half photography blog. Photography has been a passion of mine for a while, and this will help me improve my photo skills more. It's only too bad that I don't have an old camera and a photo studio to do actual developing. I miss develpoing photo's. there's something about being in a dark room that I just love. I personally find my blog boring, so if it's boring me it must be boring others as well.

So here are a few photos I've taken on my new phone. I'm actually quite satisfied with the quality. my last phone was quite crappy when it came to photo quality.

RIP

ok so I wasn't planning on getting a new phone for a while, but sometimes unnexpected things happen. Like all of a sudden your screen stops working and goes all haywire and you can't get your messages or see whos calling or what not. I was on my lunch break yesterday and I was talking to charlie. After I hung up the phone with him, I went to go text someone and my screen started scrambling and it wouldn't go back at all. I dropped it 1 too many times, and the last time on friday when I dropped it was the last straw apparently. So I had Beth take me to the verizon store after work to get a new one. I LOVE my new phone. it's the Verizon Voyager and it's a touch screen. has a pretty great camera as well.
